Smart workflows with AI agents

During Planview Hackweek 2025, I identified an opportunity to reimagine how enterprise teams build and manage workflows using AI. I proposed the concept of Workflow KITT, a centralized, agent-driven workflow studio and led the idea from vision to execution by aligning design, product thinking, and engineering.

Problem

Fragmented tools and manual processes for planning

Project managers rely on fragmented tools and manual processes for planning, reporting, and risk management. These disconnected workflows create inefficiencies, slow decision-making, and increase cognitive load for users.

Idea & Approach

AI agents that automate and orchestrate complex workflows

Came up with the idea of using specialized AI agents to automate workflows while keeping humans in control. Presented the concept to the development team, defined the end-to-end experience, and worked closely with engineers to shape how the agents would collaborate, share insights, and surface recommendations through approvals and notifications.

"I can never tell if moving this task is going to break everything else. So I just don't touch it."

— Project Manager, enterprise client

Workflow KITT: an AI-driven workflow studio

Workflow KITT is an AI Workflow Studio that allows users to create workflows using a drag-and-drop interface powered by intelligent agents for planning, resources, risk, reporting, and insights. Agent-to-agent communication enables seamless handoffs, while human-in-the-loop approvals ensure trust and transparency.

Impact & Recognition

Innovation recognized: best hack award 2025

The solution demonstrated a clear reduction in manual effort and improved clarity across project workflows. Workflow KITT won the Best Hack Award at Planview Hackweek 2025 and received a prize for innovation, recognizing the strength of the idea, execution, and its relevance to real enterprise challenges.

Final presentation

Executive validation of an AI-driven vision

The final concept and working prototype were presented to Planview VPs, Directors, and the General Manager. Walking stakeholders through the problem framing, core idea, workflow scenarios, and business impact of agent-driven automation. The presentation focused on practical enterprise value. How Workflow KITT could reduce operational friction, improve decision quality, and scale across the Planview platform.

"You actually understood what we were worried about. Most designers just push for what they want. You helped us find a path we could actually build."
